ID2Register

ID2Register is a mobile + web app that tells a user exactly what identification and documents they need to register to vote in their state, based on their situation (first-time voter, moved, name change, student, homeless, etc.). It provides a step-by-step checklist, deadline reminders, and a “document gap” view that flags what’s missing and where to get it (DMV, vital records office, campus registrar). The app also generates a printable packet with the right forms and instructions, and can route users to official online registration portals when available. This is not a magic “register for you” button—many states require official sites or mail-in forms—but it reduces confusion, failed attempts, and last-minute surprises. It also includes accessibility-first flows (large text, low-bandwidth mode, multilingual) and a privacy-first model that avoids storing sensitive IDs unless the user opts in.
