IdleCut

IdleCut is a mobile + web app for fleets and small businesses that detects engine idling and fuel-wasting driving patterns using a plug-in OBD-II device or supported telematics feeds. It turns raw vehicle data into simple, actionable coaching: where idling happens, how long, what it costs, and which drivers/routes are responsible. The app sends real-time alerts to drivers (gentle nudges, not spam) and weekly scorecards to managers with dollar-based targets and progress. It also supports “idle exception” rules (e.g., PTO use, extreme weather, refrigerated loads) so the data isn’t useless in real operations. The product is intentionally narrow: reduce idling and harsh driving first, because that’s measurable and pays back fast. It won’t pretend to be a full fleet platform; it integrates with the ones companies already use.
