ILLPulse
ILLPulse is a web app (with optional lightweight mobile companion) for interlibrary loan departments that centralizes request status, lender responsiveness, and turnaround-time analytics across multiple systems. Instead of replacing ILLiad/Tipasa/WorldShare, it sits on top: it ingests transaction exports/APIs, normalizes statuses, and gives staff a single operational dashboard. The AI layer flags “at-risk” requests (likely to miss patron expectations), suggests the next best action (re-route to faster lenders, switch to purchase-on-demand, request digitization), and drafts patron updates in your library’s tone. Realistically, the hard part is integrations and data cleanliness; the MVP should start with CSV/SFTP imports and one or two common connectors, then expand. The value is reducing manual chasing, improving patron communication, and giving managers defensible metrics for staffing and policy decisions.
