InboxTriage

InboxTriage is a web app (with optional mobile companion) that plugs into major EHRs to prioritize and streamline clinician in-basket work: patient messages, refill requests, lab results, prior auth tasks, and staff-to-provider routing. It uses rules plus AI summarization to cluster related threads, highlight abnormal trends, and propose next actions (e.g., “refill ok per protocol,” “needs visit,” “route to RN”). The product focuses on measurable throughput: time-to-first-touch, backlog size, and after-hours “pajama time.” It includes configurable protocols, audit trails, and a safety mode that never auto-sends patient-facing messages—everything is provider-approved. Realistically, integration is the hard part: the MVP should start with one EHR (e.g., Epic via FHIR + in-basket APIs where available) and one specialty (primary care) to prove ROI before expanding.
