IndiePulse is a mobile + web app that tracks independent and arthouse films across cinemas, festivals, and streaming rentals, then alerts you when a title becomes watchable in your city or online. Users follow directors, micro-distributors, and festivals, build a watchlist, and get time-sensitive notifications for limited runs, one-night events, and short streaming windows. The app aggregates showtimes and availability from ticketing partners, cinema sites, distributor newsletters, and public festival schedules, then normalizes titles (including alternate names) to reduce missed matches. It also includes a “Where to watch next” feed that prioritizes rare screenings near you and links directly to purchase tickets or rent/stream. This is not a social network; it’s a practical availability radar for people who routinely miss the one week their film played.
