InnerAlly

InnerAlly is a mobile app (with optional web companion) that helps users build self-compassion through short, structured exercises that don’t feel like fluffy affirmations. It focuses on three moments where people spiral: after mistakes, during comparison, and when feeling rejected. Users pick a scenario, rate intensity, and the app guides them through a 3–5 minute protocol: name the feeling, identify the harsh inner script, rewrite it into a realistic supportive voice, and choose a tiny next action. An AI mode can generate alternative self-talk options in the user’s own tone, but everything is grounded in evidence-based frameworks (self-compassion research, CBT-style reframing) and avoids therapy claims. Progress is tracked as “recovery time” (how fast you return to baseline) rather than streaks, because streaks often trigger shame. The app is honest: it won’t fix trauma, but it can reduce day-to-day self-beating patterns.
