InvasivID

InvasivID is a mobile + web app that helps field crews, landowners, and conservation groups detect and report invasive species with fewer false positives. Users snap a photo, the app suggests likely species, and then routes the report through a local verification workflow (agency staff, trained volunteers, or partner orgs). Verified sightings automatically generate map layers, priority queues, and simple “next action” guidance (e.g., monitor, remove, call agency) based on region-specific rules. The product is not trying to be a generic nature app; it’s a lightweight operations tool for early detection and rapid response (EDRR). It integrates with existing data pipelines (where possible) and exports clean, auditable records for grants and compliance reporting. Realistically, the hardest part is not the model—it’s building trust, verification, and partnerships so the data is usable.
