IssueProof

IssueProof is a web app (with a lightweight desktop export helper) that runs a “print-ready” preflight and production checklist for zines and small magazines. You upload a PDF and it flags the boring, expensive mistakes: wrong page size, missing bleed, low-res images, RGB vs CMYK risks, inconsistent margins, page count not divisible for saddle-stitch, and text too close to trim. It then generates a printer-friendly package: corrected export presets for common tools, a print order spec sheet, and a shareable proof link for collaborators to comment on specific pages. This is not a design tool; it’s a quality gate between your layout and the print shop. It also includes templates for popular zine formats and a “budget estimator” based on page count, paper, and binding so creators don’t overcommit.
