IssueTriage
IssueTriage is an open-source web app (with optional GitHub App integration) that helps maintainers handle the flood of low-quality issues and repetitive questions. It ingests new issues/PRs, suggests labels, assigns likely owners, detects duplicates, and drafts a polite response that links to existing docs, FAQs, or prior issues. It also flags missing reproduction steps, environment details, and version info, then requests them using a configurable template. The goal is not to “replace maintainers,” but to reduce the time spent on triage so real work gets done. The MVP focuses on GitHub first, because that’s where most open-source triage pain lives. Realistically, it will only be valuable if it’s accurate, transparent, and easy to override—otherwise maintainers will uninstall it quickly.
