JITShift

JITShift is a mobile + web app that helps hourly businesses cover sudden call-outs fast by matching open shifts to pre-vetted nearby workers who are already eligible to work that role. Managers post a shift with pay, location, and requirements; the system pings the smallest viable pool first to keep response times low. Workers accept with one tap, and the app handles ID/eligibility status, basic skill tags, and arrival ETA tracking. It’s not a full staffing marketplace—it's a just-in-time “gap filler” for businesses that already have a bench of past employees, on-call staff, or approved temps. The product lives or dies on latency: fast notifications, fast acceptance, and fast confirmation. Monetization is per-filled-shift or a monthly plan for multi-location operators. Realistically, it’s operationally messy (no-shows, disputes), so the MVP should focus on narrow verticals like restaurants or retail before expanding.
