JointSense
JointSense is a mobile AI app that turns a smartphone into a practical proprioception screening tool for rehab and sports. Using the phone camera plus on-screen guided setup, it measures joint position sense (e.g., knee flexion angle reproduction, shoulder rotation) through simple “match the angle” tasks. It outputs repeatable metrics like absolute error, variability, and left-right asymmetry, then tracks trends over time. The app is designed for clinicians and serious athletes who want objective numbers without buying force plates or lab gear. It includes standardized test protocols, quick session export (PDF/CSV), and reminders for retesting. It will not replace a physical therapist or motion-capture lab, and results can be noisy in poor lighting or with loose clothing—but it’s good enough for baseline screening, progress tracking, and remote check-ins when budgets and time are tight.
