JollofLedger
JollofLedger is a mobile + web app for African food vendors, caterers, and small restaurants to price dishes correctly and stop losing money. Users build a recipe once (e.g., jollof rice, egusi, injera, suya), log ingredient purchases, and the app calculates true cost per portion, suggested menu price, and margin—accounting for waste, oil absorption, and batch cooking. It also supports multi-currency and local units (cups, tins, bunches) so records match how people actually buy in markets. A lightweight sales log (daily totals, best sellers) ties revenue back to dish-level profitability. This is not a “recipe inspiration” app; it’s an operations tool that helps businesses survive inflation and volatile ingredient prices. Optional AI helps convert a photo of a handwritten market receipt into structured line items and updates inventory and costs automatically.
