JournalFit
JournalFit is a web app (with optional browser extension) that helps researchers choose where to submit a preprint or manuscript with fewer desk rejections. You upload an abstract (or DOI/arXiv/bioRxiv link), and it returns a ranked list of journals/conferences with clear reasons: scope match, typical methods, word limits, APCs, median review times, acceptance signals, and policy compatibility (preprints, data/code, registered reports). It also flags “likely mismatch” risks and suggests small framing edits to improve fit without rewriting the science. The product focuses on transparency: every recommendation is backed by citations to journal aims/scope text, recent accepted papers, and policy pages. It includes a submission checklist generator and a one-page “fit report” you can share with coauthors. Realistically, it won’t replace advisor judgment, but it will cut wasted cycles.
