KeyCage

KeyCage is a mobile + web app for controlling and auditing physical keys (master keys, spare keys, vehicle keys, lockbox keys) in small-to-mid facilities where keys still run the show. Staff check keys in/out by scanning a QR/NFC tag on a key ring and a site-specific station code; the app logs custody, time, location, and required photo proof (e.g., key returned to cabinet). It supports shift handoffs, temporary access windows, and incident workflows when a key goes missing (auto-escalations, rekey recommendations, and a clear chain-of-custody report). It’s a practical “paper log replacement” with compliance-grade exports for insurance, audits, and investigations. AI is used only where it helps: anomaly detection (odd checkout times, frequent “lost” patterns) and auto-generated incident summaries. The goal is fewer rekeys, fewer disputes, and faster accountability without expensive hardware.
