KidCastKit

KidCastKit is a mobile + web app that lets kids (7–13) create short podcasts and audio stories with guardrails that parents and teachers actually trust. Kids record in-app, add simple sound effects and music beds, and use an AI co-writer to outline episodes, suggest age-appropriate scripts, and generate clean show notes. The key is a “Parent/Teacher Gate”: nothing can be shared publicly until an adult reviews the audio transcript, flagged moments, and any personal info risks. Publishing is one-click to a private family feed, classroom feed, or (optionally) a moderated public directory with strict rules. The app also includes structured prompts (book reports, science explainers, joke shows) so kids aren’t staring at a blank page. This isn’t a full DAW; it’s intentionally limited so kids finish episodes instead of tinkering forever.
