KidCue

KidCue is a companion mobile + web app that helps parents pre-screen family movies and shows with practical, time-stamped guidance. Instead of vague age ratings, it provides a “what happens when” timeline: scary moments, intense conflict, crude jokes, bullying, grief, kissing/romance, and other common parent hot-buttons—each with severity and context notes. Parents can set a child profile (age, sensitivities, bedtime) and get a quick “safe to watch now?” summary, plus optional alerts (vibration/notification) before a flagged moment so they can pause, talk, or skip. This is not about censoring everything; it’s about avoiding meltdowns and awkward surprises. Content is built from a mix of community reports and AI-assisted summarization, with human moderation to keep it accurate. Monetization: subscription for unlimited titles and profiles; free tier for limited lookups.
