KidCue

KidCue is a mobile + web app that turns the videos kids already watch into short, parent-approved “learning cues.” Parents paste a YouTube/streaming link (or select from a catalog), choose the child’s age and goals (reading, empathy, science basics), and KidCue generates a 60–120 second pre-watch prompt and 2–3 post-watch questions. It also provides a simple “talk track” so busy adults can have a decent conversation without prepping. The app tracks which cues were used, what the child answered (typed or voice), and suggests follow-ups. This is not a magic tutor; it’s lightweight scaffolding that makes passive viewing slightly more active. Monetization is a subscription for families plus optional school/home-learning bundles. Content safety is handled via curated sources and strict link validation; it won’t pretend to make the whole internet safe.
