KidTalk is a mobile AI + traditional journaling app for structured inner-child work without the vague “just reflect” fluff. It runs short, therapist-inspired sessions (5–12 minutes) that guide users through specific exercises: identifying a trigger, locating the younger “part” involved, naming unmet needs, and writing a concrete reparenting plan for today. The AI is used narrowly: to ask the next best question, mirror language back, and generate a personalized “repair script” (what to say to yourself, what boundary to set, what micro-action to take). It also includes a “Reality Check” mode that flags when you’re spiraling into rumination and pushes you toward action or professional help resources. This isn’t therapy, and it won’t “heal trauma” alone—but it can make self-work more consistent, measurable, and less confusing than generic journaling apps.
