KitCalibrate
KitCalibrate is a mobile app (iOS/Android) that helps athletes and coaches validate and calibrate sports wearables and trackers so their metrics are actually trustworthy. Most users assume their heart-rate strap, foot pod, cycling power meter, or GPS watch is “good enough,” but small errors compound into bad pacing, wrong zones, and misleading progress. The app runs guided calibration sessions (e.g., steady-state run, treadmill protocol, known-distance track laps, indoor bike spin-down prompts) and compares sensor outputs against expected patterns and optional reference inputs (treadmill speed, track distance, smart trainer data). It then produces a “confidence score,” flags likely issues (battery sag, strap contact, sensor drift, firmware mismatch), and recommends fixes. It’s not magic: it won’t turn cheap sensors into lab equipment, but it will catch obvious inaccuracies and help users standardize setups across devices and seasons.
