KitChain

KitChain is a web app (with a lightweight mobile companion) for clinical trial operations teams to prevent investigational product (IP) and lab kit stockouts at sites. It connects site-level inventory counts, shipment tracking, temperature excursion events, and visit forecasts into a single operational view. The product focuses on the unglamorous but expensive reality: missed visits, protocol deviations, and enrollment slowdowns caused by logistics failures. MVP would start with manual imports (IRT exports, courier tracking CSVs, site inventory templates) and simple rules-based alerts, then expand to integrations. It generates “days of cover” per site, flags at-risk lanes, and recommends replenishment timing based on expected visit volume and lead times. It also creates an audit-friendly activity log for supply decisions, reducing email chaos and finger-pointing between sponsor, depot, and couriers.
