KitSnap is a mobile app (with optional web dashboard) for model builders who lose time to missing parts, messy inventories, and stalled projects. You scan a kit’s box barcode or take photos of the sprues/parts, and the app builds a parts checklist and progress tracker. It’s a combination traditional + AI app: AI helps identify sprues/parts from photos and flags likely missing pieces before you get stuck mid-build. It also tracks paint colors used, aftermarket add-ons, and build notes, and generates a simple “next session” task list so you can pick up where you left off. Brutal reality: this won’t be a unicorn—model building is niche and hobbyists hate subscriptions—but it can be a solid, focused tool with a clear value proposition if it’s fast, accurate, and respects privacy.
