KitSwitch

KitSwitch is a mobile + web app that turns your existing pantry and supermarket staples into “meal-kit style” cook plans—without subscribing to a meal-kit company. Users scan receipts or barcodes, set dietary constraints, and pick a weekly plan. The app generates step-by-step recipes designed to reuse overlapping ingredients across 3–5 meals, minimizing waste and decision fatigue. It also creates a tight shopping list that fills only the gaps, with optional local store pickup links. This is a combination traditional + AI app: traditional for inventory, lists, and planning; AI for recipe adaptation, portion scaling, and substitution based on what’s already on hand. The app is brutally pragmatic: it won’t pretend to beat HelloFresh on convenience, but it can beat it on cost, flexibility, and reducing food waste for people who already shop for themselves.
