KnockSentry is a mobile + desktop companion app for performance tuning that focuses on one thing most DIY tuners get wrong: reliably catching knock and dangerous timing events before they break parts. It connects to common OBD-II Bluetooth/Wi‑Fi dongles and (where available) CAN gateways, pulls high-rate engine data, and lets users add an inexpensive external microphone/accelerometer module for better knock correlation than OBD data alone. The app flags suspicious events using a hybrid rules + lightweight AI model trained on labeled logs, then generates a clear “what to check next” checklist (fuel quality, IAT heat soak, timing, boost spikes). It also produces shareable incident reports for remote tuners. This is not a magic dyno-in-your-pocket; it’s a practical safety net that reduces expensive trial-and-error and helps users avoid the classic ‘one more pull’ mistake.
