KwhCommons

KwhCommons is a web + mobile app for community energy groups that need to manage shared solar or battery benefits without drowning in spreadsheets. It tracks member shares, monthly production/credits, and payouts or bill-credit allocations, then generates audit-ready statements for members and the utility-facing reports you actually get asked for. The app focuses on the unglamorous but painful middle layer: enrollment, eligibility, allocations, and dispute handling when credits don’t match bills. It supports multiple allocation methods (fixed shares, income-weighted, usage-weighted), and logs every change with a clear approval trail. It also includes a lightweight “issue inbox” where members can submit bill screenshots and the admin can reconcile mismatches quickly. This is not a consumer energy tracker; it’s operational software for small-to-mid community energy programs that can’t afford enterprise platforms.
