LabChainQ

LabChainQ is a web + mobile app for small-to-mid biotech labs to track samples, reagents, and custody events with audit-ready rigor—without buying a full LIMS. It focuses on the most failure-prone moments: handoffs, freezer moves, aliquoting, and shared equipment usage. Users scan QR codes on tubes/boxes, log transfers in seconds, and get automatic chain-of-custody timelines for each sample. The app flags common risk patterns (missing timestamps, unapproved users, temperature excursions, inconsistent naming) and generates a clean export for QA, sponsors, or internal reviews. It’s not trying to “do science” or replace ELNs; it’s a lightweight compliance and traceability layer that plugs into existing workflows. Realistically, labs will pay only if it saves them from rework, sponsor disputes, or failed audits—so the product must be fast, boring, and reliable.
