LabGap
LabGap is a web app (with optional mobile companion) for clinics and small hospitals to track diagnostic test orders end-to-end and flag “silent failures”: lost requisitions, uncollected specimens, pending results stuck in limbo, and abnormal results that never got acknowledged. It connects to common EHRs via HL7/FHIR where possible and falls back to simple CSV imports when integration is blocked. The app builds a live worklist by patient, test, and due date, then escalates based on configurable rules (e.g., biopsy results >48 hours overdue, critical potassium not acknowledged within 30 minutes). It also generates audit-ready documentation of follow-up attempts and handoffs. This is not a diagnostic AI that claims to interpret results; it’s a reliability layer that reduces missed/late follow-up—one of the most common, costly, and litigated diagnostic breakdowns.
