LabGenQC
LabGenQC is a web app (with optional desktop uploader) that monitors NGS run health and sample-level QC across common pipelines. It ingests FASTQC/MultiQC outputs, alignment metrics (e.g., Picard), coverage summaries, contamination estimates, and batch metadata, then flags likely failure modes: index hopping, low complexity, sample swaps, sex discordance, unexpected relatedness, and coverage gaps in clinically relevant regions. The AI layer doesn’t “interpret variants”; it prioritizes QC anomalies, explains probable causes in plain language, and recommends next actions (re-sequence, re-extract, adjust trimming, rerun alignment). Realistically, many labs already have ad-hoc scripts and spreadsheets; this replaces that brittle workflow with auditable dashboards, automated alerts, and standardized QC sign-off reports. It’s not glamorous, but it saves real money by preventing bad data from reaching downstream analysis and clients.
