LabLinker

LabLinker is a mobile + web AI-assisted citizen science platform focused on one unglamorous but real bottleneck: data quality. Volunteers submit observations (photos, audio, sensor readings, short forms), and the app runs automated “quality gates” before anything reaches a project dataset: location confidence, timestamp validity, duplicate detection, minimum photo sharpness, and basic species/object plausibility checks. Project leads get a web dashboard to define simple protocols, review flagged submissions, and export clean datasets to common research formats. The app also teaches contributors how to collect better data with in-the-moment prompts (e.g., “move closer,” “retake with scale reference,” “record 10 seconds more audio”). This isn’t a social network; it’s a data pipeline that makes citizen contributions less noisy and more publishable.
