LabLore
LabLore is a web + mobile AI app that helps people follow scientific claims as they evolve—from press release to preprint to peer-reviewed paper to retractions and replications. Users save a claim (e.g., “coffee reduces mortality”), and LabLore builds a living timeline: original source, study type, sample size, funding/conflicts, later critiques, meta-analyses, and whether the result replicated. It also flags common hype patterns (p-hacking risk, weak observational inference, small n, overgeneralized conclusions) and translates the key limitations into plain language without pretending to be a medical authority. A “Trust Meter” shows why confidence is high/medium/low with citations, not vibes. The app is realistic about uncertainty: many topics will remain messy. The goal isn’t to ‘debunk’ everything; it’s to stop users from being whiplashed by science news cycles and to build healthier science literacy habits.
