LabLore
LabLore is a web + mobile app that turns the history of science into interactive “evidence trails.” Each trail links a discovery (e.g., germ theory) to a timeline of primary sources, key experiments, rival hypotheses, funding/politics, and later corrections. Users can read short, curated summaries, then jump into scanned originals, translated excerpts, and annotated diagrams. The app also includes “Myth vs Record” cards that flag common oversimplifications (e.g., lone-genius narratives) and shows what historians actually agree on. For educators, LabLore provides ready-to-teach trail packs with discussion prompts and citation exports. This is not a general encyclopedia; it’s a structured way to understand how scientific knowledge changed, including dead ends and controversies. Monetization is a freemium model: free trails, paid educator packs, offline access, and advanced source annotations.
