LabLotTrace

LabLotTrace is a web + mobile app for tracking material lots, processing steps, and sample lineage in materials R&D. It replaces scattered spreadsheets and notebook guesswork with a lightweight “chain-of-custody” for powders, films, coupons, and test specimens. Users create a lot record (supplier, CoA, storage conditions), then log transformations like milling, annealing, mixing, coating, and machining, automatically generating unique sample IDs and printable QR labels. Measurements (XRD, SEM, tensile, DSC, etc.) can be attached to the exact sample and step, so teams can finally answer: “Which batch, which furnace run, which operator, which parameters?” The MVP focuses on fast logging, QR scanning, and clean exports for reports and audits. AI is optional: it can parse PDFs (CoAs) and instrument filenames to auto-fill metadata, but the core value works without it.
