LabSlot is a web app (with an optional mobile companion) that helps universities schedule shared physical resources—labs, maker spaces, testing rooms, specialized equipment—without the endless email threads and double-bookings. Departments define resources, rules (training required, supervision, cleaning buffers), and availability windows. Students and researchers request time slots, upload required certifications, and get approvals routed to the right lab manager automatically. The system prevents conflicts, enforces capacity limits, and logs actual usage for chargebacks or grant reporting. It also supports recurring reservations for courses and research groups, plus waitlists that auto-fill cancellations. This is not glamorous, but it targets a real operational bottleneck that wastes staff time and blocks student progress. Expect slow sales cycles with universities, but once installed, switching costs are high and retention is strong.
