LaminateIQ
LaminateIQ is a web + desktop app for composite engineers and small fabrication shops to quickly estimate laminate properties and manufacturing risk from a proposed layup. Users enter ply schedule, fiber/resin system, cure cycle, and process (hand layup, vacuum bag, infusion). The app outputs first-pass stiffness/strength estimates, weight, cost, fiber volume fraction range, and a “risk radar” for common failure modes (voids, dry spots, wrinkling, delamination-prone interfaces). It includes a lightweight materials library and lets teams store repeatable “recipes” tied to part numbers. This is not a replacement for full FEA or expensive enterprise tools; it’s a pragmatic pre-check to reduce trial-and-error and scrap. An optional AI assistant helps interpret results, suggests layup tweaks, and generates a one-page manufacturing traveler for the shop floor.
