LandLore

LandLore is a mobile app for Indigenous and traditional religion practitioners, cultural workers, and community archivists to capture field notes in a way that respects protocol. It supports offline-first recording of stories, songs, site notes, and ceremony-adjacent observations with granular access controls (who can see what, when, and under which conditions). The core value is not “sharing”—it’s safe custody: encrypted storage, community-defined permissions, and clear provenance (who recorded it, with whose consent, and what restrictions apply). It includes a “Protocol Pack” template system so communities can define rules like seasonal visibility, gender/role-based access, and no-export items. This is realistic because many communities already use generic note apps and cloud drives that are leaky, hard to govern, and culturally unsafe. LandLore aims to be the practical bridge between everyday capture and responsible stewardship.
