LanePermit
LanePermit is a web + mobile app for cities and contractors to coordinate lane closures, curb occupancy, and right-of-way permits in one shared, map-based workflow. It replaces scattered PDFs, emails, and conflicting schedules with a single calendar tied to GIS segments, time windows, and work types. Applicants submit closures with standardized fields, traffic-control plan uploads, and auto-validation against rules (peak-hour bans, school zones, emergency routes). Agencies review in a queue, request changes, and issue permits with conditions. A public-facing feed (optional) publishes approved closures to 511 sites and navigation partners via an API. This is not glamorous: it’s paperwork and coordination. But it directly reduces unplanned congestion, angry residents, and costly rework when two projects collide on the same corridor.
