LatencyLens

LatencyLens is a mobile + web app (traditional app with light AI) that pinpoints which device, app, or network hop is causing lag in a smart home. It runs guided tests (bufferbloat, DNS latency, local Wi‑Fi airtime contention, ISP jitter) and correlates them with real household events like video calls, gaming, streaming, and smart camera uploads. The app connects to common routers via local APIs/UPnP/SSH where available, but it’s honest when it can’t: if your router is locked down, it falls back to on-device measurements and clear “confidence scores.” It produces a simple action plan: change channel, enable SQM, move a node, cap a device, or call ISP with a shareable report. Monetization is subscription for continuous monitoring and alerts, plus one-time “home network checkup” reports.
