LayerLedger

LayerLedger is a mobile + web app that helps people choose the right outerwear for the day and buy smarter over time. You log your coats/jackets (brand, insulation type, shell material, waterproof rating, size, and purchase price). Each time you wear one, the app pulls local weather (temp, wind, precipitation) and asks a 5-second comfort check (cold/okay/warm). After a few weeks, it builds a personal “comfort map” showing which coat works best for which conditions, plus cost-per-wear and a simple rotation reminder so you don’t neglect expensive pieces. It also flags likely redundancy (e.g., two coats that perform the same) and suggests what spec you’re actually missing (e.g., true waterproof shell vs. fashion wool). This is not a magic closet app; it’s a lightweight decision tracker that gets useful fast.
