LayerProof

LayerProof is a desktop app (with optional web share links) that preflights illustration files for common production failures: missing bleed, unsafe margins, low effective DPI, accidental overprint/knockout issues, spot color misuse, RGB-in-CMYK jobs, stray transparent pixels, hidden layers, and font/licensing red flags. It ingests PSD/PSB, TIFF, PDF, and common export formats, then generates a clear, client-friendly report plus a “fix list” for the artist. It also provides export presets per deliverable (book cover, trading card, packaging label, poster) and validates against printer specs. This is mostly a traditional app with a small AI component that explains issues in plain language and suggests likely fixes (without generating art). The goal is not to replace Photoshop/Procreate; it’s to reduce rework, embarrassment, and costly print reruns.
