LayoffLifeboat
LayoffLifeboat is a mobile + web app that turns your real cash flow into a blunt “survival plan” for job loss or income shocks. Users connect bank accounts, credit cards, and bills to calculate a conservative runway (best case, realistic, worst case) and a prioritized action list: what to cut first, what to renegotiate, and what to pay to avoid cascading damage (rent, insurance, utilities). It also generates a one-page emergency script pack: call scripts for lenders/landlords, hardship program links, and a calendar of deadlines. The app avoids feel-good budgeting and focuses on crisis execution: alerts when runway drops, bill due clustering, and “if I lose income tomorrow” simulations. It’s not a replacement for a financial advisor; it’s a practical checklist and monitoring tool for people who don’t have time to spreadsheet their way through a crisis.
