LeakLatch is a mobile + web app that turns a messy mix of smart leak sensors, shutoff valves, and water meters into one reliable “water safety” dashboard. It focuses on the unglamorous problem: false alarms, missed alerts, and unclear next steps during a real leak. The app guides setup with a plain-language checklist, then continuously monitors device health (battery, signal, last check-in) and runs periodic “silent tests” to confirm sensors still report correctly. When a leak is detected, it escalates intelligently: push notification, SMS/voice call, and optional auto-shutoff if a compatible valve exists. It also generates an insurance-ready incident report (timeline, actions taken, photos, device logs) and a maintenance schedule for rentals or multi-property owners. This is a traditional app with a small AI component for alert triage and anomaly detection.
