LeakLedger is a mobile + web app that turns a few affordable sensors and your existing smart devices into a practical water-damage prevention system. It guides homeowners to place leak sensors in high-risk zones (under sinks, water heater, washer, HVAC pan), then monitors events and escalates alerts based on severity and occupancy. The app logs every incident with timestamps, photos, and actions taken, creating a “proof trail” that’s useful for insurance claims and landlord-tenant disputes. It also schedules simple maintenance reminders (replace supply lines, flush water heater) and can optionally integrate with a compatible smart shutoff valve to automatically stop water flow when a verified leak is detected. This is not a generic smart-home dashboard; it’s narrowly focused on preventing one of the most expensive, common home disasters with clear workflows and documentation.
