LeakLedger is a mobile + web app (traditional + AI) that helps homeowners detect and quantify “silent” water waste using the data they already have. Users connect their smart water meter (where available) or upload monthly water bills; the app builds a baseline and flags abnormal overnight flow, continuous usage patterns, and seasonal anomalies. It then translates the suspected leak into dollars per month, gallons per day, and a simple payback estimate for fixes (toilet flapper, irrigation valve, pinhole pipe leak). The AI component generates a step-by-step troubleshooting checklist tailored to the home’s profile (house age, fixtures, irrigation, occupancy) and recommends when it’s worth calling a plumber versus DIY. It’s realistic: without a smart meter it’s less precise, and the app clearly labels confidence levels so users don’t chase ghosts.
