LeaseCompare is a web + mobile app that turns messy lease PDFs into a clean, standardized summary and then lets renters compare multiple lease offers side-by-side. It extracts the terms people actually fight about later—rent increases, renewal rules, early termination, deposit deductions, maintenance responsibility, utilities, fees, notice periods, guest/pet rules—and highlights what’s unusual versus common market norms. Users can upload a lease, answer a few context questions (city, unit type), and get a “term scorecard” plus a plain-English checklist of questions to ask the landlord before signing. It also generates a shareable link so roommates, guarantors, or a tenant advocate can review the same summary without reading 40 pages. This is an AI app with traditional workflows: AI for extraction/normalization, deterministic templates for the final output. It’s not legal advice; it’s clarity and comparison.
