LeaseLens

LeaseLens is a mobile + web AI app that reviews residential lease PDFs and flags risky clauses in plain English. Users upload a lease, answer a few context questions (state/city, unit type, roommates, pets), and get a prioritized “red/yellow/green” report: hidden fees, auto-renew traps, excessive penalties, vague maintenance obligations, illegal terms, and move-out deposit gotchas. It also generates a negotiation checklist and suggested email language to request edits, plus a short “what to ask on walkthrough” list. The app is not a law firm; it clearly labels outputs as informational and links to local tenant resources. The realistic value is speed and clarity: most renters don’t read leases, and most landlords won’t explain them. The MVP focuses on a few high-volume states first, then expands coverage as clause libraries and local rules improve.
