LeaseLens is a mobile + web AI app that helps students quickly understand and de-risk rental agreements and housing offers. Students upload a lease PDF or screenshots, and the app highlights hidden fees, strict clauses (guarantor, joint-and-several liability, subletting bans), move-out penalties, and deadlines in plain language. It also generates a short “questions to ask the landlord” list and a negotiation checklist tailored to student housing realities. For listings, students can paste a URL or upload screenshots and get a scam-risk score based on common red flags (payment methods, photo reuse, mismatched addresses). The app is not a law firm and won’t pretend to be; it’s a practical triage tool that helps students avoid obvious traps and know when to seek real legal help. Monetization: freemium scans + paid “unlimited scans” and campus partnerships.
