LeaveLedger is a web app (with optional mobile companion) that helps HR teams and employees execute parental leave without chaos. It centralizes policy, eligibility, required documents, timelines, and handoff plans into a single workflow. Employees answer a guided intake (country/state, employment type, tenure, due/adoption date), then get a clear checklist and calendar of what to do and when. HR gets a case view with approvals, reminders, and audit-ready notes. Managers get a lightweight coverage plan builder to assign interim owners, track critical tasks, and avoid “tribal knowledge” loss. It integrates with common HRIS/payroll systems to reduce double entry, but the MVP can run with CSV imports. It’s not magic: it won’t replace legal counsel, but it will prevent missed steps, inconsistent communication, and last-minute scrambling that burns trust.
