LegacySwitch

LegacySwitch is a mobile + web app that helps people create a practical “digital executor” plan without pretending to be a full legal service. Users inventory key digital assets (email, cloud storage, social, crypto exchanges, subscriptions), set what should happen (delete, memorialize, transfer, export), and assign trusted contacts. The app runs periodic “I’m alive” check-ins; if the user stops responding, it triggers a staged workflow: notify contacts, release instructions, and provide step-by-step playbooks for each platform (what forms to file, what proof is needed, what can’t be accessed). It also stores non-sensitive metadata and links, while keeping secrets in a proper vault and encouraging users to use official platform legacy tools where available. It’s not magic: it won’t bypass passwords or laws. It’s about reducing chaos for families.
