LensLedger is a mobile + web app (traditional + AI) that helps photographers track, insure, and resell camera gear with less hassle. You scan a receipt, serial number, or just the gear itself; the app builds a clean inventory with purchase date, warranty status, depreciation, and current resale comps. It pings you when prices spike (good time to sell), when warranties are about to expire, and when a recall or common failure is reported for your model. For insurance, it generates a standardized proof-of-ownership packet (photos, serials, receipts, valuations) that’s actually usable when you file a claim. The AI piece is narrowly scoped: OCR for receipts, gear recognition from photos, and comp-based valuation suggestions with confidence scores—no “magic” editing promises. Monetization: subscription for active tracking + insurance packet exports, plus affiliate/referral fees from marketplaces and insurers.
