LevyLedger is a web app (with optional mobile companion) for small municipalities and special districts to manage property-related fees and local taxes without buying a full enterprise ERP. It centralizes parcel records, rate tables, exemptions, billing cycles, penalties, and payment reconciliation in one place. The AI component helps staff draft legally compliant notices, explain charges in plain language to residents, and flag anomalies like sudden assessment jumps, duplicate parcels, or missing exemptions. It also produces audit-ready reports and exports for whatever accounting system the city already uses. This is not a “do everything” government suite; it focuses narrowly on the painful middle: generating accurate bills, collecting payments, handling delinquencies, and answering resident questions with consistent, documented responses. Realistically, sales cycles are slow and procurement is annoying, so the product must be easy to pilot, priced transparently, and designed for understaffed finance offices.
