LevyLens
LevyLens is a web app (with optional mobile companion) that turns proposed tax and spending changes into plain-language distributional impacts for real places. Users pick a jurisdiction (city/state/country), select a policy template (sales tax hike, property tax relief, VAT change, fuel tax, targeted rebate, deficit-financed stimulus), and the app generates a transparent “who wins/loses” breakdown by income decile, household type, and industry exposure. It’s not a magic oracle: it uses published elasticities, baseline microdata (where available), and clearly labeled assumptions. Each scenario outputs a one-page brief, charts, and a shareable link for public meetings. The AI component helps translate technical results into neutral summaries, highlights sensitivity ranges, and flags where data quality is weak. This is built for credibility: citations, reproducible settings, and audit logs are first-class features.
